Flag Day
June 14, 2017
Cut an old bed sheet into several flag-shaped sections. Using the implements you have on hand, doodle, draw, paint, or sew onto each section the words and imagery that make you happy – kitties, puppies, rainbows, equality, etc. Experiment with colors and combinations. Don’t self-edit. Aim for unfettered self-expression. Select your favorite version of your flag and visit the nearest marina. Commandeer a ship. Fly your flag from its mast. Sail into international waters. Become a pirate and dominate the seven seas in a merciless reign of terror. All will quake with fear at the sight of the kitty-puppy-rainbow-equality flag.
